Itinerary
- Day 01: Arrive Delhi
- Upon arrival, after clearing immigration and customs, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
- Overnight at hotel.
- Day 02: Delhi
- Following breakfast, enjoy a full-day city tour of Old & New Delhi.
- Old Delhi: An ancient walled city. Drive past the Red Fort – the opulent fort and palace of the Mughal Empire; Raj Ghat, the memorial site of Mahatma Gandhi; Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India; and Chandni Chowk, the bustling and colorful market of the old city (Red Fort is closed on Mondays).
- Afternoon, New Delhi: Visit Humayun’s Tomb (1586), built by Haji Begum (wife of Humayun) – an early example of Moghul architecture, the Qutab Minar (72 meters high), and the Iron Pillar, which has withstood 1500 years of weather. Continue with a drive through the Embassy area and government buildings (1921-1930).
- Overnight at hotel.
- Day 03: Delhi - Agra
- Following breakfast, drive to Agra and check in to your hotel.
- In the afternoon, visit the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.
- Taj Mahal: Agra’s famous 17th-century masterpiece, built in memory of Mumtaz – the most splendid architectural monument in the world. (Note: Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays.)
- Agra City: Also visit the Mughal Red Fort (Agra Fort), built by Akbar (1565-1573 A.D.), featuring gateways, pillared halls, mosques, marble trellises, and geometric gardens that represent Mughal architecture at its peak.
- Overnight at hotel.
- Day 04: Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur
- Following breakfast, drive to Jaipur with an en-route visit to Fatehpur Sikri (the City of Victory) for a tour of this magnificent, well-preserved World Heritage site. Explore its religious and secular sections, where breathtaking sculpture and an incredible white marble mosque attract pilgrims from near and far.
- Continue your drive to Jaipur and check in to your hotel.
- Overnight at hotel.
- Day 05: Jaipur
- After breakfast, visit Amber (Amer) Fort – ascend the hilltop fortress-palace on an elephant, the former capital of the royal Rajputs. Enjoy panoramic views from this architectural masterpiece, with its fortified battlements, sepia-hued hills overlooking Maota Lake, and intricate mirror-studded alcoves and dazzling mosaics.
- In the afternoon, explore Jaipur City: Visit Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds), a five-storied pink sandstone structure with 593 delicately carved stone screens, and join a guided tour of the City Palace & Observatory, which blend Rajasthani and Mughal architecture.
- Overnight at hotel.
- Day 06: Jaipur - Goa
- After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your connecting flight to Goa.
- Upon arrival in Goa, meet and transfer to your hotel.
